Xbox app on PC won’t annoy you anymore!

Ana sayfa / News

Microsoft has been continuously improving the Xbox app on PC lately. The latest update (version 2501.1001.3.0) comes with a series of new features and bug fixes. This is great news for Windows users, as some issues had emerged following the major overhaul of the app. This update will resolve some of those frustrating problems. Here are the details…

Before diving into the details of the update, let’s take a look at all the new features introduced at last week’s Xbox Developer Direct event:

1. Sharing game sessions

One of the most notable additions from the event is the ability to share summaries of game sessions. Now, by clicking on the “last session” section on a game’s page, you can view details of your most recent match. With a single click, you can turn this information into an image, copy it to your clipboard, and share it on social media or with friends.

2. System tray integration

Another user-friendly enhancement is the integration of recently played games into the system tray. Now, when you right-click the Xbox App icon, you can see your most recently played games and quickly launch them without opening the app.

3. Enhanced UI customization

Microsoft has updated the styling and sizes of social widgets and the home bar, providing a more advanced personalization experience in both Desktop and Compact modes.

4. Easier access to cloud gaming

When selecting a console game with cloud support from the Xbox App on PC, you’ll now be directly redirected to the store page. This makes it even easier to purchase, remotely download, or launch the game via the cloud.

The update also includes a series of bug fixes. Here’s the full list:

The new version is now available for all Windows users. If the update hasn’t appeared on your PC yet, it should arrive in the next few hours. So, what do you think about these new features and improvements? Let us know your thoughts!
